Every product approved before it appears, and a report button on every piece of content

News

In line with the Saudi E-Commerce Law: the Hayina team reviews every store, product and reel before it appears, and a customer can report any unlawful content with one tap and is notified of the outcome.

Hayina has completed two systems that protect customers and merchants alike, under the Kingdom’s E-Commerce Law and its implementing regulation.

Product approval

Every product a merchant adds, or whose name, photo or category changes, is reviewed by the Hayina team before a customer sees it. The merchant receives the decision in their app, usually within one business day, and with a rejection the reason, so they can fix it and resubmit. Approval already covered stores and reels; today it covers products too.

Reporting unlawful content

Every product, store, reel and review carries a “Report” button with reasons taken from the law:

  • Prohibited or illegal product
  • Counterfeit product or intellectual-property infringement
  • Misleading description, price or advertisement
  • Offensive content or images
  • Fraud or incorrect merchant details
  • Privacy violation

The report reaches the Hayina team immediately, the appropriate action is taken, from hiding the content to suspending the store, and the reporter receives a notification with the outcome. A merchant is never told who reported them, and every action is logged with who took it and when.
